I would think any car or truck would have the same problem. The Sky has that opening to release the air in the trunk when closing the trunk. If it gets exhaust in there I think as you go down the road that it will go out the hole above the license plate and all the other holes , drain hole for water, that are in the trunk. Now if it really concerns you about cabon monoxide gas , just crack your windows as you drive. As to groceries in the trunk I do not think you have to worry about food poisoning....Skip....
