Anyway, no your engine probably will not be damaged in anyway from a missfire. Now a missfire COULD (note the use of the word COULD) be a sign of larger issues but it sounds like from your case that it could be bad fuel or something of the sort. It's not the missfire that should concern you, but what caused the missfire. It's kind of like a cough. Coughing isn't what makes you feel like crap...it's the flu that causes the cough that is getting to you.

Like Skip I'm betting on moisture in the fuel.
