This past weekend was a blast!!!
Met up with CatGirl on Friday... had dinner and conversation. Was very fun!!!
Went to bed at about 1:30am and up at 5:30am... headed out just after 7am to buy car washing supplies and a compact flash card for my camera... it took me almost 3 hours!!!
Target didn't open until 8am and I got there at 7:40. They did not have CF cards... tried Wal-Mart, no CF cards... none at K-Mart either. Best Buy didn't open until 10, so I drove closer to the show and finally got one at Staples. Amazing that none of the big supercenters carry such a used item anymore.
Anyway, I enjoyed Saturday... did a nice spin out in the grassy area... perfect parallel parking job from it.

Ended up perfectly along the pavement.
I spent a few hours with friends in the group parking area, then after going through the drive-thru judging, brought my car to display it with the GM Tuner Tour the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday. I had the ONLY SKY on the grounds... and only KAPPA not brought in by a vendor.
The GM Tuner Tour had the Skecher's sponsored SOL from Set Up, a green SOL from Grind, the Red Bull Drift SOL and across the way there was one built by Neil Tijn.
The Top Tuner Solstice from Canada was also there... AMAZING vehicle!!!
Overall a great event. Placed 1st in the Saturn class and made some more contacts.
Hope to see more at this event next year. May 9th - 11th, 2008. I hope to set up a regional get together there... as well as a SouthEast regional one in Atlanta this September at the NOPI Nationals. If both the North East Lexus Owners group and Nissan-Infiniti Owner's Club can get over 30 cars each... we should be able to get a good group of Kappa's.
I will post pics in a moment.
