One thing you left out, Drag Racing is fun, so have a blast

And remember you will make mistakes, but is is okay, cool: Those that criticize are usually spectator's or bench racers, or wannabe's. Main thing that I do is completely ignore what the other car is doing, while learning you are developing techniques, not trying to win, so stay focused on getting down the track the quickest way you can.
I have raced many years, and presently trying to dial in a very quick car that is requiring me to reprogram every technique I have used over the years. Beleive me old habits are hard to change

That pesky torque management system is very tricky
Remember - practice, pratice, and more practice
