Technically (and how else do engineers take things), Summer starts on June 21 or 22, the Summer Solstice, and lasts until the Autumnal Equinox in September. So most of June is a part of Spring, technically.
Here is Seattle, where it's raining and in the 40s today and we're getting loads of fresh snow in the mountains, June is feeling a lot like November, which is, of course, technically during the Fall season.
It's all a matter of perspective.
