I have been asked by several people when am I gonna do another run since so many had so much fun in the Ring Around Lake Okee Adven., so here it is..
I had a real nice elaborate spiel going for this thread starter, finished it all up, then when I submitted it, this stupid site did not up load it, most frustrating let me tell. It is to the point that to start a thread you better put in Word first, this is not the first time this dam site threw my thread away.. I’m sooo pissed..
I’ll be quick this time around however since I can’t remember everything I posted in my original thread..
This run is called the Tin City Cookie Run. Mainly because my wife has specifically on more than one occasion come to Tin City Riverwalk to come and buy cookies ONLY… Yes indeed, this complex has a facility that makes these huge chocolate chip cookies, and macadamia nut cookies.. wow good stuff.. Fresh everyday, Called the Cookie Factory, so that is sorta the theme. (Of course I said it much better on my ORIGINAL thread starter..)
OK, Run date, Sunday, July 20th, see google map attached below. We will meet up just past the toll booth on the first rest area heading west on the alley, see star pointer. Time 10AM . I will also probably be making a pre-run, probably 2 weeks before hand to reconnoiter the site and see where and what we can eat, anybody want to join me? It will be best if assistance is given on where to eat... Mind ya, this is a tourist trap area (what place in Florida isn’t) so prices are high.. I was considering doing this run in the afternoon and eating dinner instead, but since it is on a Sunday, many of us have to work Monday morning, so I think a morning run and lunch is best.. We’ll eat lunch, walkabout, buy cookies and skedaddle outa thar before sun down is the general idea.
Of course always open to suggestions, ideas, modifications etc etc…
