Well but see i dont want a exhaust system that is loud all the time. I'd like one that is just loud when i want it to be. Hence considering keepin the stock exhaust and just putting on an electric cutout.
People have suggested putting it directly on the downpipe, but i was wondering if without a tune that tells the engine to not read or ignore the o2 sensors around the cat, if putting it on the downpipe wouldnt cause it to throw a code when you open it?
I'm also kinda curious and i asked on the Solstice side but never got a real answer, if i got a westers tune, a SOLO highflow cat, then put a cutout right after the cat but still ran the stock muffler, if when i opened up the cutout would i be making the same Horsepower if not more than say a car with a Westers tune, highflow cat, and a magnaflow or Solo mach exhaust?
