No dyno tuning is necessary but to get the most from it you would want a "canned tune." The forum vendors each offer their own tune and they all seem to be pretty comparable to me. There is the BSR tune from Hahn, RPi has a tune, and there is the Westers tune from Dejon (I think).
I personally think I am going to go with the Hahn intercooler and tune, with an RPi exhaust, but I am not 100% yet.

I just got my redline back with just that, an RPI exhaust and a Hahn intercooler. The difference in bottom end acceleration and even top end PSI is, in a word, noticable.
I am very happy with the change.
