On a side note i think it was on this forum or the Solstice side but i was doing a search and someone said something about having a catless downpipe and how it will cause the engine to throw a code but it doesnt do anything to the performance. Idk if thats true and its just essentially making you know your Cat isnt working. I know when i had my ranger you had to be careful because depending on what the O2 sensor read it would make your engine run leaner or richer but idk if it does that to the Sky/Solstice

Yeah it shouldn't matter but I'm not 100% sure...If that holds true it won't affect performance but the light will always be on and you will fail to know if any other problems arise because the light will be on. So its better to find out how to get it to stay off. If you reset your PCM(disconnect battery for like 5min) the code will go away until you open the cut out again. That would be annoying though so most defiantly keep looking for the answer on the way around it.
