Have you ever lost a shift into third? What I am saying is had it almost in but not quite? Iffen you have you might have chipped a brass follower in the synchros. It is nothing to worry about and is covered under warrenty. I have done this inadvertently when I do not pay attention to my shift. I pulled my truck tranny apart and there it was, a chip on the brass follower that aligns the synchro with the gear...Skip....
