SLide the boot over the new shaft, bolt the shaft down, snap the ring in place, spin the knob on and you are pretty much done. It literally took me 7 minutes to remove the boot, and about 15 minutes to install everything once i got it back. I was even able to peel the stock boot off the rings and drive around with the stock boot and shifter while i was waiting for the JPM. You wont believe how heavy the stock shifter is. The JPM is lighter but weighted more efficiently and is a little shorter. This gives you more feel and connects you to the car. It is crisper and more deliberate. It is unreal how much the chunky stock shifter takes away from the experience. The is the best buy for your shifting pleasure. The linkage is all internal, so the only change you can get is the shift are and boot. And it surprisingly make a bigger impact than you would think.
so are you just sending in the chrome ring or is there another ring that you also send too? is there another ring under the boot that you cant see that you need to send in is what im asking.
