Yes this is an issue and yes it is covered by your warranty. There was a change in the block that happened about 8 months ago to address the problem. A low tech solution is to get some felt with a sticky back from the local arts and craft store. I know several folks who have used that to cover the blocks (me included) and it is still suck months later. Hope that helps.
