In response to "Skybaby"'s "reality may be closer" line, I figure I would speak up.

What was initially a "can this be done" idea has turned into a reality.

Skybaby will be getting the first one (in pink), but I definately can make this a reality for others that may be interested.

making lights blink back and forth (a walking dot) is a pretty easy thing, however making them blink in sync and fade back and forth was the challange.

The current design has 24 LEDs (with 12 on each side) with a fade LED pattern running from inside-out then outside-in on a 2 second cycle. by fade, I mean that there is a lingering/dimming light affect following the bright lead LEDs which makes it seem like there is a trail after the first LED.

The circuit board has been designed and ready to be mass-produced, the only issue is how to mount the LEDs.

For mine (in blue) and "skybaby's" (in pink) I am going to do some custom mounting in the fake grill just below the silver saturn badge with the LEDs embedded in a water clear epoxy with mother of pearl additive, then run this to a rocker switch in the cabin.

This was designed with car shows in mind, and the current draw is less than .02 amps (both dimmer lights are .52 amps) so you should be able to leave this on for a full car show without worry of the battery draining.

It should be a pretty cool project. I'll post pictures when done (should be about 2 weeks)
