I agree completely... I wouldn't be looking at a Saturn except for the Sky (I wouldn't even be looking at the Sky except for the Red Line!)
As long as the Daewoo is not sold here, who cares? They say GM is also going to make a
Holden version for Australia!

Why? They're all Kappa cars, same powertrain, made at the same factory... shouldn't be any more of an embarassment to Sky owners having a Daewoo badged version sold only in Korea than to a Solstice owner.
I think Sky owners should take some satisfaction knowing that all other worldwide versions planned (Opel, Daewoo, Holden) are all based on our Sky body... shows the world knows it is a much more attractive exterior than the Solstice !!
So I suppose if you believe, like Blue Sky surmised, that we should now go buy a GXP perhaps because it will be more "exclusive", then go right ahead... we always knew the Solstice would be more "exclusive"... no where near the number of buyers in North America or worldwide would prefer that body style. People worldwide generally are not deturred from buying a Miata simply because there are tons of them on the road. And again, the Opel, Daewoo & Holden won't be sold here.
The biggest impact on Sky and RL buyers (
and Sol & GXP buyers!) will be the shrinking pot of cars out of that one factory available for purchase in North America. It will make an already bad situation worse. I don't believe there is any plans or possibility to increase production at that plant... they are running 24/7. So plan on even longer waits to get one.
