if you look at the performance numbers, they are so close that just a small slip by one driver or the other could change the results... besides all the TRACK tests i have seen comparing the Solstice and the MX-5 the times have been very close or the solstice has been faster, i have not seen any track testing of the Sky as of yet... but I have driven mine on the Bristol Motor Speedway and the Tail of the Dragon... and several other challenging roads and have not come close to exceeding the limits of this car...

Yes, let's look at the 2.0 liter Mazda motor which has more hp than the 2.4 liter Solstice/Sky motor, and has to carry around 450-500 less pounds around.
You can't exceed the limits of your car because it's underpowered.
Even the Redline Sky is toast compared to a boosted Miata.
