Old news, but new to me. The Oct08 issue of Car & Driver had an article on it, with some good pictures. Lots of Mazda 3s, a few hundred Miatas, and a few hundred RX-8s, among others.

I remember this - it was all over the news up here.
Made a neighbor mad when I said that scrap metal was the best use for a Mazda.

I love my mazda...144K and not one day of trouble...best car I ever owned..
