Lotus

Is there any one here that owns both the Sky and a Lotus?

I found a guy on the Lotus forum in Colorado that owns both.

I want an Elise so bad!

My brother had an elise. I test drove it before I purchased my sky. I took the sky because of practicality and price.

The elise is great for track usage!

I don't have one, but one parks next to me at work! It's the only car that looks good next to mine

KappaSphere does. They have built their business on these two cars.

I go to KappaSphere quite a bit, and I've studied their Lotus pretty closely. It is very different from the SKY.

To me, the biggest differences are:
  1. Size. The Lotus is teeny-tiny and very cramped
  2. Comforts. The Lotus interior is very "Spartan"
  3. Focus. The Lotus is a track car you can take on the road; the SKY is a road car you can take on the track
Those are three very huge differences. I would not want to take day trips in the Lotus as I think it would be miserable, whereas in the SKY day trips are delightful.

I would love to own a Lotus also... but, that would inquire me to actually get a job..... ...... I just admire them from afar! Someday I will get out to Kappasphere and see theirs. SkyBaby

Saw a Lotus on the way back to the office last week, It must have been an older one, but pretty sharp and pretty expensive, SteveSky67

Never heard it put that way before, but it's probably the most succinctly accurate way to describe 'em.

I briefly entertained getting a used elise, but the Sky won out, for price, practicality and comfort (not to mention insurance!)

Plus, my RL is HOT

An aquaintance of mine, that goes to the same local Starbucks, bought an Exige. He got a package where while he was waiting for his car to be built, he went to Las Vegas and got to go through a driving school where he learned how to race a Lotus Exige on a track! Very cool!! But he was amazed at how comfortable my Sky was to sit in!!! Also, his top is kind of cheesy. IMAO I think, side by side, the Sky is the sharper car by far!

I got to drive our supercharged Exige across town today... that car never fails to impress me. Lets just say its very hard to keep under the speed limit.

Here she is:
