Sold Out!

I just got off the phone with customer service. They are sold out and do not anticipate getting any more. The woman I spoke with would not provide the name of the manufacturer, OF COURSE. You can't kill a guy for asking...can you?

I just got notice of my die cast SKY's being shipped to me. I'll pass on the manufacturer info when I get it. Now I know why the guy on E-Bay is charging to much!

Cheers,
Jill

For what its worth.........

I was able to place an order for a silver die cast SKY Wed evening at the web site. Got an email order confirmation soon after. Then a shipping notice email last night (Thursday). I'm suprised at this because I thought they would not be shipped until 3/30. Seems like they would have to sell at least 1,500 just to break even on tooling costs. I hope more are made so others can get one.

I was able to order one this morning around 7AM. I got an email saying that they received my order, but it is currently on backorder and will ship once received.

I can do you one better, got the tracking info and it will be delivered on Monday. If only the wait time for the 1:1 scale car was as short.

Diecast not being sent

Well got a phone call today from the company I received the email confirmation for the SKY diecast. They said that the diecast would not be able to be shipped. They are out and not going to receive any more of them. The company was AmericanID which is who handles the saturnstuff website. If anyone discovers any more reasonably ($25-$50) priced diecasts, please post. Thanks,
Sky 4 Me

Mine came in yesterday

I ordered the Black Sky on March 7th, and it arrived yesterday (along with my Sky baseball cap). Looks just like the one in my garage, except for the spoiler. Wonder how hard it would be to make one

Now I just have to get it out of the packaging so I can put it on my office credenza next to my Shelby Cobra die casts.

I, like Ernest, have purchased many Saturns since they started to produce them. I also was one of the first to receive a SKY in eastern PA, VIN #644. The only thing I ever received were phone calls to buy another Saturn. In fact, I did buy a used Saturn for my daughter in December, same dealer as all other purchases, and they only gave me less the a half a tank of gas. I reported this all to Saturn and even mentioned other loyal Saturn buyers were frustrated. They did call me at my home and were very concerned, but nothing more. So much for LOYALTY. Still love the SKY, VUE, SL1, SL2 etc.

To those of you who have gotten your diecast model - can you see any kind of brand name on it? Is it Maisto? Perhaps an image from the back of the box? I'd like to see who is making it to determine future availability.

My box is in my desk at work, but the bottom says "ProMarkCo" with the address.
