Found a pair of 1/24th Sky's on eBay. Silver with red interior and black with red interior.

Only problem...the a-hole has them listed at $100 each just to beat the market.

WAIT - my wife just got me a yellow Solstice at Walgreens from the same company (Maisto) for under $20.

DO NOT FALL FOR HIS AUCTION!!!!

Ooooo NICE!

Something about the packaging looks fishy though... like its a back of the truck special. Either way, if they have built at least this model, im sure we will see them on the shelves for retail prices soon enough.

Even the model Skys are going for above MSRP!

I agree, something does look fishy... I googled and googled my little heart out and did not find one piece of information leading me to believe there are officially licensed Sky diecasts for sale anywhere. Maybe this guy is one of the first to have them?? But I'm not sure, there isn't even a mention on the manufacturer's website yet... seems kind of sketchy to me.

Hi folks,
I inquired about this die cast SKY, as these things are usually offered to Saturn employees(like me) first. When I inquired, I was told that these were available for a limited time from a company that does most of our Saturn logo stuff. They sold out immediately, and are looking into further production. I have no idea how much they cost originally, but I will wait for another production run and buy them through my dealership. If I find out when, I will let you know. There is a pewter SKY available on a marble base. I ordered two by mistake and am going to sell one. PM me for a picture and more info.
Cheers,
Jill

ok ok... call me a rat.

I emailed the company when this post was first mentioned. I referenced that they were being sold on ebay and when can I buy in the store...

He confirmed that they will be making them to be sold... but will not be ready untill some time in the fall.

He added that he didnt know where the ebay skys came from, and he was going to look into it.

Now I feel a little less ripped off at $100.00. Thanks!

Well, I have an update from my dealership. Jeff, the parts guy, has had my cell # since September. I told him to call me the moment he gets any new SKY stuff available, but most importantly if he gets any diecast models in. Well tonight at 4:30 PM I get a call from him. He says Saturn issued a limited run of 1:24th diecast SKYs in silver or black. He has a few still available and wanted to know if I was interested. The price? $39.99 + tax (still, a little high for a 1:24th diecast, but seeing as how these might not be available elsewhere....). I have a service appointment (oil change) on the AURA tomorrow night, so he's holding onto a few for me until I get there. Sorry xmicro to break the bad news that I can save $60.01 If interested, call your parts dept and inquire. Mine just got them in today.

Oh well, I have blown $60 a lot faster at the casino and got nothing, so I am still ahead of the game. Glad you saved the cash. Enjoy

If my parts department can't get one, can I get one from yours?
Cheers,
Jill

Die casts...

Hate to spoil it for anyone, but I just reserved 1 of each at the $30.00 each as well. Didn't sound like my Saturn dealer was starved for them...I sure wouldn't pay $100 to that guy on eBay...

Be patient...afterall, we all waited for the real car, why waste the money on a die cast when it will come...

How about ordering them from here for $25 plus whatever they want for shipping? They have none in stock, but expect 104 Silver and 106 Black on 3/30. The same website is where my pewter Sky desk weapon came from (at $50 less than the other online store), and if you call the phone number they have listed, you get transferred to American Identity. I plan to call in the morning and see if they'll let me pre-order one. I'd imagine they'd be likely to do it- I waited about 3 months for the other one. Hallelujah!

Thanks Reed, now I got ripped for $75.00. I need to go back to the Mohegan Sun for some serious Roulette. Put things back out of perspective.

Just placed my order for two, so it's down to 104 of each.

I got a preliminary order number. Is there a place I can input the number to see when I'll be imaged and how long it will take for delivery?

I thought it was bad having to wait months for my SKY....now I have to wait weeks or months for a SKY replica?

You're welcome! Always glad to help! You'll still have it first- maybe you'll get a special blue title under your name like NCBlue and Pitcom: First Reported Die-Cast Owner!

My order for two in silver is in now too, and I was charged tax but got free shipping. (I know, XMicro- yet another blow to the gut!)

SKY VUE 1, thanks for actually placing an order. My brain's kinda fried these days, so I didn't even try that before I posted. Guess I don't need to call them after all!

It's not accepting my order.

Edit: It finally did... 3rd times a charm. I bought one of each... and a hat, shirt and umbrella.

I am a genious, I figured out my solution. If I order 5 more at $25, I will bring my average price down to $37.50. That means I only paid $12.50 too much! Huh

I ordered a black one but they were showing 0 available. They acknowledged order & said it would ship when available. No biggy. I waited 7 months on the real thing - won't hurt half as much to wait on the miniature one.
