You can reach the claimed hp ratings from the kits, but the "gains" aren't as high because of the underrating of the car itself. I'd really like to see where GM is gonna go with these stage kits, and where the LNF cars can go after that. We in the LSJ community used the stage kits, and more importantly, the stage tunes, as a jumping off point to take the car further with what the GM engineers started with the new tune.
Hey bud, if you want we can continue this via PM. Don't want to bore others with the details of our Ions. Yes I'm very insterested to see what else develops out of the stage kits. But I will suffice to say this, the stage 2 kit I know for a fact put the car at what Saturn was originally planning for the car when the performance guys got ahold of it. I do also know that the engine has more potential hp out of it with all the goodies that went into it. One of the main reasons its banking money for GM in the racing out there because for the most part, the motor is pretty reliable. It pleases me to see them doing further development, like the LNF engine and turbo. I think there's much more to come also.

I think everyone is missing the most likely stage kit contents for the gm performance kits, with the first just being a reflash, and the second utilizing a reflash with the gmpp cai and cat back. This makes the most sense to me, since they can't release the kits without carb testing and the only known carb certified performance parts in the pipe are the cai and cat back. This also makes sense since with such a long lead time to get carb approval, they would almost have to already have the approval or see the carb approval on a short horizon to make any kind of announcement.......

I'd be all over that like white on rice.
