SKY, 2007 Automotive Best Buy...

Found this in GM DealerWorld's Messages...
Quote:
Consumers Digest Magazine released its list of 2007 Automotive Best Buys, and we are proud that the Saturn SKY was one of six "sporty cars" to receive their highest award. The December issue (on sale November 1) also features the SKY prominently on its cover.
A Consumers Digest Best Buy reflects the magazine's assessment of which 2007 vehicles offer the most value for the money and is based on behind-the-wheel testing, safety ratings, ownership costs, warranty, price, comfort, ergonomics, styling and amenities.
Very !!!

Regards,

BA...

Wow! Awesome, quite a stark difference in what Consumer Reports said about the Kappas at the start of the year. Maybe they're Miata loving days are over.

gotta take it with a grain of salt...it is GM world magazine. obviously they're not going to be critical of their own product.

It's GM World reporting that the Sky was awarded a Consumer's Digest Best Buy Award. No need for a grain of salt, an award is won or it isn't.

Do we really care what the rest of the consumers think...think about it. They badmouth the car...then they love it...We knew this car was a winner when we saw it 2 years ago....Saturn really didn't hype this car...we did. So who cares what they r saying about it now...the FLOOD GATES where opened by us, the consumer, not those silly magazines.

Hahaha, dead on right, mike. Stupid consumer reports, just a couple months ago, when they released their 'New Cars of '07" report, didn't exactly have shining things to say about the SKY in that one. I found it funny that in that report they had mostly positive or neutral things to say about the Solstice, but all they said about the SKY was to point out all the negatives. So funny how they change their colors so quickly. So, CR has finally noticed that Saturn makes decent cars? Great, good for them. What the heck have they been doing for the last 10 years then? I'm a firm believer in the idea that too many car mag people spend too much time in $60k+ vehicles so that they forget what really is good about the $30k and under classes. IMO, Saturn getting this award is a band-aid on all the bad press that's been unfairly thrown their way over the past 15 years. While it's great to see this band-aid, it can be pretty frustrating too.

Overall though, congrats to GM, on getting an award that we all knew they were worthy of a year ago.

Were these the same guys that could not put the top up in under 10 mins? If so, I agree with Mike. Who cares?
