Although I have seen this design in several different formats, I am still not liking it. Like stated earlier, it messes up the sleek lines of the car.

To each their own!

If it lets you on a road course, without having to destroy you interior for a rollbar, it is worth it. -J

that is pure sex on the sky!

I'm not the biggest fan of the Sol's version but i think that adds a complete other dimension to the sky's styling.

But then again i've been a fan of 'sportwagens' in the past. If i had infinite ability to aquire vehicles, I'd have a hemi magnum with a new set of rims only.

-back on topic: I think it hasn't been the top i've been so turned off to, it still is just really the profile shot of the sol. Not really a fan at all. Now the profile of the sky is already pretty sleek and this top just adds another option. Obviously not a permanent one, but with the ease of removing the soft-top (took me about two hours to swap a torn one out and a fresh one in by myself in the apt complex parking lot) this would be a good winter setup.

Did you swap frames too, or just the canvas ?

I love that hard top! I drive my car year round and bought it more for the turbo engine and RWD then anything else. If the car had been available hard top from the factory, that's what I would've bought. I will admit that I do enjoy the convertible, but if I had the choice between a hard top or a convertible, I'll take the hard top. Having a bit more of a trunk is also a bonus too.

It doesn't look right in the back they need to loose that pointed fin thing in the back along with the circular glass. They could bring it back more like a coupe in the rear and just follow the lines of the side windows. THat would probably look pretty cool.

Then make it with Carbon Fiber and a tinted or clear lexan rear window as an option.

That is one fugly looking car. Sorry doesnt even try to look like one of those late 60s jags. If you have a hard top, you got to get ride of the clamshell trunk and go with a hatch working like the corvette. By keeping the reverse hinged hatch, you really paint yourself in the corner in options available for a hard top solution.

The first time I saw that design I immediately thought "what a way to ruin the looks of a beautiful car - yuk"
And my opinion has not changed one single bit.

Yeah, I bought a roadster, not a station wagon. If I'd wanted a wagon I'd've bought a wagon. Now if they want to put together a hardtop convertible roof to replace the ragtop, I'd be willing to consider it.
