Just my 2cp, but I think it looks horrible, like what a 16-yr old would do to one. No offense, just not my type, especially the wing on the back.

They are joking right?

That color is horrible- Removeable aluminum roof, great, apparently it is not stored on board? IF not, what do you when it starts to rain? Pull over under an under pass I suppose- That spoiler is an eye sore, they copied the Sky/SOL humps looks like, finally A/C & stereo is optional-- I can only imagine the cost IF you want to buy one with it properly equipped, the bottom line costs would price itself right outa the market--Thankfully, they are only gonna "try" and produce 2000. NO thanks Honda--Try again--

it looks like they took one of our deck lids and shortened it to make their "aerodynamic" cowl cover

You may be missing the points of this car. Just as Nissan has a tricked out 350Z at the end of it's current model run, this is a) a way of moving some more units, b) keep some interest going at Honda as they prepare for the S2000's replacement and the front engine replacement of the NSX, respond to GM's "intrusion" in the roadster market, c) generate "buzz", d) present a homologated car for SCCA racing, both Solo and Road Racing, and e) keep the dealerships happy (halo effect!).

Oh yeah, I forgot. There are people convinced WE are driving "stupid" cars. If I already did not own a Redline, I am afraid I would have a deposit on an S2000CR becuase it will probably OWN SCCA Solo A/Stock. Well, I own a Redline and plan on keeping for some time. I still think it was money well spent, crazy ergonomics and all.

I do not give a damn what the 2000 does on the track, it is an ugly rice burner. I do not even understand how anyone can compare the 2.

It like comparing Pamela Anderson to Elvira. They are both have similar measurements, the older model is a little bigger, but which one do you want to be seen with. Hello??!

HEY!!! Typically the american cars are chasing the japanese car designs, but look at this significant detail: They copied the bumps behind the seats! Look at how hard they worked to get them to fit onto the cover of the convertible top area! HA!

I hate the color, hate the rear spoiler, hate the fact that it screams look at me. I prefer the sleeper look with performance. Thats what drew me to the RL, it look great, has incredible perf. and looks like an new suit. I don't like the boy racer look on a $30+ automobile.

i really dislike what they did with this s2000. although its styling was getting dated, the regular s2000 still has a calm elegance about it today. this new racer is just plain ugly. especially the new seatback humps and rocket fin!

i suppose that i'm not the demographic they are catering to, but damn at least the evo or wrx looks good with mods, this new s2000 is one ugly bird.

Today I saw a Thunderbird with that same identical styled humps! Yes, the same ... the very same! I walked over and they do make it look neater than a plastic tarp cover. But not nearly as nice and real as our's.

That wing ... ouch! It looks like what you'd see in many high school parking lots. I certainly think it looks tacky and would not want to be see getting into a vehicle with that "thing" stuck on the trunk.

So in summation, I would not wait eight months for it like I did for this car.

Really don't care for it but I don't race SCCA. It'll be interesting how this does on the racetrack but that's all it's for, well that and selling a few extra of the old model while they get ready to replace it. Probably a good marketing plan even if it is pretty niche.

Not Their Best Work!

This S2000 is terrible. It looks like they tried to stick on "cool things" to make an old car style competitive. The front and rear spoilers are 2nd rate. The humps behind the seats don't flow with the rest of the body - they are dumb looking.

Too bad, I liked the older S2000's a lot. This new treatment makes them look tacky and cheap IMO.

The humps are a copy from the Veliside bodykit that are so popular among S2000 owners. The ugly wing is actually functional and provides downforce similar to the evo's at 100mph +

Wow, that is ricehideous. If Honda was going for that look, they could have completed it by making some of the body parts like the bumper or fender unpainted. All said, I bet it drives nice though. lol.
