'09 Corvette ZR-1 VIN 001 Sold 1 M

Barret-Jackson just sold the rights to purchase the 1st ZR-l VIN001 for the 1 million dollars Car will be the only one of it's color (Blue) to be produced that year.

Prices out of control


This yrs. B-J auction is soooo ________; I don' t even know what to call it- the prices are OVER the top by a factor of 12 bazillion.
I saw a REPLICA cobra for like $750,000, a replica.
Robosaurus went for $575,000 that MIGHT be reasonable, but I doubt it.

Actually I didn't think the figures seemed all that unrealistic. It was one of the cheapest B-J auctions I have seen in awhile. Some of those charity race cars took almost a million to build, but they didn't even come close to bringing that in. The Robosaurus was 5mil to build, so 575K is a steal for show vehicle that will bring in money at all the arena car crushing events, etc.. I so loved the Rondine Corvette concept car.
