DI V8 that weighs less than an LS3 and puts out more horsepower with probably a higher HP and TQ ceiling than the LS3 can handle built up with twin turbos....
A 7 speed manual with a double overdrive 7th gear....

Hendrick is a huge name in the car world. I Pull HondaAcura only in North and SC . Have a Hendrick Acura in Charlotte but thats one store I"m not allowed to go back to .. LOL
Lot of these guys that work at these stores cop a attitude...
Tax write off and the car will still bring that 20 years down the road.
Some folks got money to burn... Us blue collar still have to work for ours.
Not a fan of the rear end at all. Doing like the wrap around drivers seat.. Its lost its two seat feel when they added that hand rail on the inside, and its looks like a one seater with a side car....
The worst thing I see on the car I don't like is where they played off the ground effects from the front bumper and brought the lines of the car all he way up into the middle of the doors on both sides with almost a wing look to it Why in the world didn't thy leave that smooth . To many lines and looks busy to me. Reason I like the C5 so much is the longer, smooth flow look to it when you add a few aftermarket parts...
The only thing we will have to give it is how it handles. Its going to be a driving fool for sure and it will sell to those that don't have a problem with that inbreed look of the Camaro.
It is what it is but in saying that, with all the new dropping the cylinders this way and that way, I think its going to be a nightmare to Mod the motor unless you tear everything out and start back fresh with a new computer which I'm sure someone will come up with quickly.
700+whp is a normal build now on the FI part of the corvette forum. It is going to be interesting to see how they mod this one and catch up to the LS7s and ZR1s of the past few years.
Its not a totally ugly car, just going to take 20 or 30 years for it to grow on me. LOL

It is butt ugly. Most on the Corvette forum agree. It is a boy racer car. Anyone over 30 in that car will give the same impression as they would in a Neon with a wing and body kit. I don't really care what others think of the cars I drive (hey - I own a brown Lambo and a CV-8 that looks like something that lives under a bridge - it scares dogs - seriously) but one car that I have always thought I could never own was the Viper, because I guess I do care enough that people not assume I am an egotistical wanker trying to overcompensate for having testes the size of peanuts, which is what they would normally assume (I do) of anyone that pulls up in a Viper.

Pull up in one of the new Corvettes (sorry, Stingrays) and they'll probably think that you are a would be Viper owner that didn't have the cash to buy one, so went for the next best thing....

LOL. This is just all of the hurt Vette owners having the "justify" their older car as the new one is, lets face it, a technological marvel and vastly superior compared to previous generations. I've seen so many "I'll stick to my C4/C5/C6" posts on the internet lately. The C7 blows the older Corvettes out of the water doing what it does best: being a performance bargain. I guarantee it will eventually be accepted, loved, and then when the C8 comes out 7 or 8 years from now:

"I'll stick to my C4/C5/C6/C7. Thanks."
