07 NA Sky for sale. Silver Graphite, loaded except for automatic, ~60K miles. Probably been wrecked once.

Assuming, of course, that I can get over the idea of being this close to Jersey and driving a Camaro.

Thats my next baby

2010 I will be adding that to my garage. I was originally getting that when I saw it in 05, until I saw them push the date of release back from 06 to 07 to 08 now 09.
Then I saw the SKY in 05 with an 06 date and said NOW THAT IS A FALL BACK!!

Doesnt it look like a mustang?

If it had a Ford emblem on it, and was released as the new Mustang for 2010, 90% of the population would believe it.

I have to completely disagree. It looks like a modern 67-69 Camaro to the T.
It has way more quarter panel shape and that Camaro **** eatin grin front grill set-up! Put the 2 together and you will see that the Camaro is WAY MORE MUSCULAR!

I thought the front end looked like a mustang too - it was my first thought.

I love the outside look but I am not liking the retro interior. I wish the gauges, 25 MPH seperation?! Explain that to the cops.
I also don't like the HVAC and stereo controls.

As a Camaro enthusiust. It does not look like a stang.

FYI: Rumors are that the Camaro will have the 450 HP LS3, as the LS2 is nearing the end of it production next near.

Although I will be first in line for this magnificient machine...GM is having a difficult time fitting in an engine that will pull 2 TONS...the convertible, that is. It cannot meet the emissions and gasoline guidelines...they r putting in a six in the coupe...

Aside from the extraordinarily beautiful interior with 175 on the speedo...did u notice where the gas cap is? Bet this will not be on the production model...too bad.

Forgot to mention the price tag on the convertible...over 40K not including tax...on or about

A close friend of mine just got assigned to the Camero project. He is leaving for Austrailia tomorrow as the majority of the tooling is being done in southeast Asia and India. He'll be going back and forth for the next 12-14 months on this job. He is a car guy and really wanted this assignment. He's got an awesome Mustang in his garage right next to his Porsche (and his Harley-Davidson V-Rod).

The bad news is the GM has let the project slip with an on-again / off-again type project plan and that really hurt it getting to market.

The car is scheduled (at least for now) to be made in the Oshawa (Canada) Assembly plant.

I'll still take my Redline.......

Better gas mileage and lower insurance rates....

I get about the same gas milage on my 350hp 3900 lb GTO as I do with my 177 hp 2900 lb Sky. I still haven't really figured that one out yet. Just goes to show the capabilities of the LSx engines.

Not to be a jerk but it is Camaro, not Camero. (Petpeve of mine )

Does this look like a Mustang? Because this is the car the new Camaro is based on. Oh, by the way, this is a Camaro. Note any similarities? Just remember that GM was not out to clone the 1969 Camaro, but to incorporate it's features into a new design. But the cues are all there. Note the curves, the door shape, the 3 vents on the rear fender, the set-back grille, the hood bulge, the coke bottle shape. It's all there. All Camaro. There is no Mustang here.

I would not have never noticed that...and I also am a spelling bug...this car just distracts you from everything...Now that the camaro is on the production line....it does take about 3 years to produce a new car from design to finish...I hope we can get some sneaky gm worker with a cell phone to take photos...I know it is not the right thing to do...but anticipatory anxiety rules.

I owned a '68 Camaro and would NEVER own another one. Rear window would loosen up (twice) and had to be reset. The doors and windows rattled all the time, the seats were rock hard and on the floor(lower than our SKYs) The supension was terrible (would wheel hop bad and really stiff) the "hinden" lights didn't work most of the time, The back seat was useless(I didn't care, except on a date...I know more than you needed to know). In short it was a rattle bucket, go kart, with a punch. I would think the new Camaro wouldn't be anything like the "67 - "69 animals and that would be a good thing. Also I really like my RL and wouldn't consider another throw back look alike as Ford and DC are doing. I want original ideas and design that set it apart from everything else and the SKY is that in everyway.

I can see how someone, at first glance, can confuse the new camaro with a mustang if they have no idea what the car it's based on looks like in the first place. But c'mon, you can't miss the catfish mouth!

My sweetie wants one of these. I think I prefer the coupe myself. Either way, we're going to have to get a bigger garage!!
