Forster will be follower of Bob Lutz

Just read in the German "WirtschaftsWoche" that Carl-Peter Forster (President GM Europe) will go to Detroit in spring 2008 as replacement of Bob Lutz, so Rick Wagoner told at Detroit Motor Show.
One of his jobs will be to merge the brands Saturn and Opel more and more.

Here is the article ( German only):

If you've ever been around Germans, it actually helps to read the translation with a very heavy German accent.

To yourself, of course. Anyone listening to you might think you're mad

Yeah, they lost me there. I got "general of engine" but what is "restaurant week?" What am I missing?

As a side note, one of the classic examples of why computers should not translate languages is the case of a phrase being translated from English to Russian, and then the Russian translated back to English:

Before: "The spirit was willing but the flesh was weak."

After: "The wine was agreeable but the meat has spoiled."

Kinda loses something in the translation there...

Yeah.

WirtschaftsWoche somehow translates to "restaurant economics" But in some contexts, it translates to "restaurant week". Makes sense, because 'woche' is German for week.

but, Wirtschafts Woche means "Economics Week", which is what I THINK it's supposed to be.

I THINK it's supposed to be closer to

That's the way I try to understand that Alabamian sometimes
BTW good correction of the computer translator

With the fusion of Saturn and Opel will Saturn become a European styled "sub brand" of Opel over the years

What about Lutz??

What becomes of Bob Lutz? Hopefully he will still be strongly involved/influential in the product somehow.
