Detroit Autorama Show. There's a thread over on the solsticeforum here.. The GM performance site has also had some "how to" writeups on real big build outs. They're kinda invasive. I've got it bookmarked somewhere.

Hmm supercharged 428? I was thinking it would be a highly modded solstice motor.... Man anyone with some coin can sport an engine swap...

Is that LSX an Al block or Fe block?

I think it's an Fe block, meaning that it weighs nearly twice as much as an Al block LS7. That's before you mount a supercharger (yet another 80-135 lbs...)

All on the front axle? Those brakes don't look exactly light, either.

Great. A car that starts life around 2890 lbs, 52% front weight, transformed into a car that NOW weighs 3300, with a 57 1/2% front weight distribution.

And 1000 horsepower you can't even DREAM of putting on the ground.

At that point, power:weight is meaningless, and the weight distribution will... let's say, 'seriously hamper' the handling character of the car.

The LSX is cast iron.
