GMPartsdirect.com - Extremely Poor Customer Service

GMPartsDirect.com is independently owned and operated by Flow Chevrolet, LLC.
A recent transaction with them took over 3 weeks to ship. I ordered an interior part for my 2008 Sky Redline.
I received the wrong part after waiting 3 weeks and now, after my 3rd request for a Return Authorization and several (6) emails into their customer service department I still have not received a reply and or an RA from them.

My post is directed to others here who have purchased from them to ask the following:
1) Have you encountered the same poor service
2) I will not be doing additional business with them - any other GM direct vendors that are good would you recommend?
3) Anyone know of a number to call directly to complain?

Thanks

I have not yet dealt with them because my dealer has had a comparable price (factoring in shipping) for every part that I have wanted to puchase so far. I have probably spent a little more, but I like the face-to-face service, and haven't had any problems.

I ordered an Opel GT antenna & had it in less than 2 weeks with no problems whatsoever. I even got a couple of emails advising me of status.

how do you even find parts on their website? They don't list saturn at all in their online catalog.

I have ordered from them twice and got what I ordered quickly with no problems. You really need to have the part number in order to find anything there. But if you have a good part number and they have the part, it appears to work ok at least in my personal experience

I ordered a Opel antenna and a Opel front grill 2 seperate times and had no problems. I did have the GM part number from the forum, otherwise I would have had no clue. Sometimes it is a particular person(s) that might have given you bad service....hope you get it resolved.

I ordered a Z0K crossmember there. Yeah, it took a while, but you've got to figure that they have to order and receive the part. No complaints with the ordering process or confirmation and status emails, but for their cost of shipping, ya think they could do just a tad more than stuff it in a box and hurl it on a truck . Looks fixable enough, but coulda been better.

I've used them on several occasions too. Never had any problem. You just really have to make sure you have the right part number. If you do not, most items list that they are special order and non-returnable.

The jury is still out ... but checking the parts order I placed last week shows it is still in order status. I'll check again Monday to see if they have been shipped. If the parts are on backorder an e-mail would be nice.

The first few orders I made through them took 3 weeks even before they shipped the items, than another 7 days to get here!

Next item never shipped after 3 weeks so I had to send them an email and they said out of stock with no schedule shipping date. They then refunded my money!

The last item I order showed up broken (Opel Backup Light) but it was a corner tab that didn't show. Was not too impressed on how they package breakable items.

They do take at least 3 weeks to ship any item so expect a delay!

My latest order with GMPartsDirect was placed on the evening of 27 May - it was shipped on 02 June via Fed Ex.
Fed Ex estimates that delivery will be 10 June.

So we will see.
