Highlights of NY Autoshow

Well I was disappointed in the SKY display at the show. They had 1 Redline and no Base models. They put one GXP up on a platform all highlighted and the SKY just sat on the floor taking the abuse of the 10,000 ass's getting in and out.

You would have laughed at how many people grabbed the license plate light area trying to open the trunk. Dahhh, it is not a minvan!
Anyway, the buzz around the single SKY was huge.

My favorite thing there was a cross section of the Ecotec 2.0 Turbo Engine.
I was very happy to see a timing chain and not a belt!

Displays

There were a couple of cool displays, especially the matchbox car like display that a customizer did (Matchbox cars). Then there was the Chevy VOLT. GM's newest Electrical car. The car goes 600+miles on a full tank and charge!

Chrysler Nassau

This one is named after a County in NY.

Nice though. I liked the lack of a B Pillar inbetween the fronty a rear. Nice interior.

The funniest reaction to the RL while I was around was the ~15 year old kid who walked up with his friend and leaned over the back of the car and gave it a big hug. After about 15 seconds, he then began to hump it. Sadly, it was all over before I thought to get my camera out!

Well at least the SKY got some action at the car show!

Although if I wasn't a married man, that Volt Chick kept eyeing me!

I love the SLR. Saw one in person last week and I had to go around the block twice (so not to piss off traffic behind me on Ventura Blvd.) and I had never seen one up close before. It's unreal...

Thank You!

I want to thank Reedred and you for the pictures. I go to auto shows whenever I can. When I was an IT consultant traveling nationally I got to the Chicago and New York shows. I compare those experiences to LA, also an international level show, as well as some of our regional smaller CA shows. I don't care, I like auto shows. LA is the biggest because of the volume of floor space it takes up. Chicago is good and getter better every year. Of all the shows that I have seen, and as a show, New York is the best. The
