Saturn Aura & Vue Green Line

PRODUCTION BEGINS OF SATURN VUE GREEN LINE AND AURA

The Saturn product renaissance kicked into high gear yesterday with the start of production of the new Aura sedan and Vue Green Line hybrid SUV.

The 2007 Aura blends Saturn's new design language and high levels of refinement with the brand's customer-focused purchase and ownership experience. The Aura's driving character will match its refined design, with a host of technologically sophisticated powertrains and a premium sport-sedan setup. Uplevel models feature GM's first application of a new six-speed automatic transmission mated with the 3.6L DOHC V6, creating a powerful yet fuel-efficient package. The Aura will start at $20,595 (including destination charge) for the XE model, equipped with the 3.5L V6VVT.

With a starting MSRP of $22,995 (including destination charge), the new 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line hybrid SUV will be the lowest-priced hybrid SUV on the market when it arrives at dealerships. In addition to its "value price," the Vue Green Line will carry an EPA fuel economy rating of 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway - the best highway fuel economy of any SUV currently available. That equates to a 20-percent improvement in fuel economy compared to a non-hybrid Vue, depending on driving conditions.

The Aura is being produced at Fairfax Assembly in Kansas City, Mo. while the Vue Green Line is being manufactured in Spring Hill, Tenn

My wife just got a 2006 VUE, and she wants to trade it for the Green Line.

With gas prices...might be a good idea!
