Is Toyota Quality Slipping?

The news has been full of these Toyota quality stories and reports.
It was even reported that last year Toyota had more recalls than it sold cars. In addition there are at least two class action suits aginst them for poor quality..
So - simple answer -- yes.

Geez - hate to hear/read that. Had my first Camry for 9 years - 99,000 miles. Except for replacing a window motor & one tail light, it was only in the shop for scheduled/recommended maintenance. I've had this Camry for 3 years - 32,000 miles - it hasn't been in the shop for any repairs at all - just maintenance.
