Adios....

.....well, wish me luck...as of Thursday, I will be logged off for a couple of weeks. Our move to Arizona from Connecticut begins on June 1st. Two adults, one child, three dogs, and two cars will be travelling roughly 2,600 miles. We could've flown, but I've never driven further west than Pennsylvannia, and really wanted to experience some landmarks.

Wish I could have gone again to Mecca this year and the Danbury run over the weekend, but there were way too many details to deal with here. It looks like the Southern AZ club has a great organization going on, so I can't wait to hook up with them....

....also hoping I don't meet up with any of the wild weather hitting the Midwest lately....golfball-sized hail

First, drive careful, lots of stupid drivers out there
Second, when you are traveling stop at Shoney's for a meal or 2, being a buffet it makes it easy for everyone to get what they want. (been there done that).
Third, if you want weather updates you could use some of us, get our cell #'s and we can go on line for you, also find some good hotels to stay in. As you go into each state where the first rest stop is, they have coupon books for hotels in the state, some have big savings......

Have a fun drive, be safe and hopefully we will see you next at year in Colorado.

By the way, I am envious, love Arizona

Take care my friend

Wow! Stay safe & enjoy the drive!

At least you're heading to a place where you'll have better driving weather.

Wow that's quite the move!

Looking forward to have you in our part of the country!

I assume your traveling the southern route to Arizona?

Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico. Not sure what there is to see there!

Lots to see in Oklahoma!

Check out this website: TravelOK.com:* Official Oklahoma Tourism Info. Site
And the famous route 66 icons: Oklahoma Route 66 Association Home Page
But watch out for the spinning clouds in the sky, we have had a lot of storms and tornadoes.
We got more then corn fields and cows, really we do!

Good Luck on the move Jayman

Jayman,

Good Luck on the move, all I can say is Arizona will never be the same.

I wish there was enough time on the calendar to come and give you a proper Sky send-off.

If anything it would have to be this Saturday the 31st, I'll have to check with "T" and see what she is doing.

PM me if your going to be around and available?

I'm not home now so I grabbed the Pic from the SNEKR site of your old Blue leading the pack.

Nature Tips for You JAYMAN

Interesting info for you Jayman:

Once you get out west if you happen to see a snake and it makes a rattling noise, don't panic it is just wanting you to pet it, they are such friendly critters So show it some love. Be careful passing pick-ups out here, you might just get a racing stripe on your vehicle

Seriously...Jayman...if you're taking a route through Central IL, I'll meet up with you if it works out. Figure you'll probably stay south of me though.

Good luck!!!
