before and after

I went to a car show yesterday with my Sky... people who know me know i used to Own a 66 Corvair, and i sold it so i could buy my Sky, well what do you think i was parked beside , My old Corvair... I won a New Hydraulic Jack too......
had gobs of questions and compliments.. two of the best were from a couple people that said thay couldn;t make their minds up between the Solstice and sky... but seeing my car they had decided on the Sky... also two said that after seeing my car in another car show back in May they had cancelled their order for a Solstice and ordered a Sky instead..... Wish i could get commisions...

Nice pix of both. The Corvair was really a great car when driven within it's designed limits.

well Ernest you have fallen into the old trap about how bad they handled, if the tires were kept inflated to the proper pressure on the earlier models there were no real problems, and the later models 65-69 had a redesigned suspension that was on par with the best of the times...

Glad to see you posting I had a few Corvairs as a kid. They were cheap and fun to drive, in the late 70's. The performance models had great acceleration and handling, a car ahead of its time.
