Does life begin at 40?

I was just reading this thread.
Kind of disappointed in Sky

The standard perception is that the older you get in your life the less you have to look forward to. For me it has been the opposite, the best part of my life has been after 40. I have talked with other people who felt the same way.

My 40's have been a blast and I am looking forward to spending the 50's and 60's with the most wonderful wife I could have!

Just wondering if others over 40 felt the same way!

I'm 65, Retired, feel good, and I also have a wonderful wife, and I own a SKY. These are just some of the good things that have come to me, the way that some young people live their lives, they will be lucky to reach your age or mine.
I enjoy my life and the things that I have and the people that I have met on this forum for the most part are great even some of the young ones, The SKY is for anyone that wants it.

I plan to drive her a while, then not as much to keep the mileage low, I have a R/L Sky coming when it is time to order, this will get more use than my present one. I have a low VIN, 699, and plan to have a real keeper someday.
It is also completely documented from day one, all event changes, everything.

The question was whether life begins at 40, not how old you have to be to own a Sky.

Only for the Sky owners that are old people. This thread is addressed to "old" people and even though it is not directly about the Sky this is a Sky forum. I guess a lot of people young and old look at the Sky as part of the quality of their life or at least some icing on their quality of life!

Us old folks just know a good thing when we see it... nothing wrong with anyone of any age owning a Sky as long as they can afford it...
It has nothing to do with age...
this is from a guy 52 going on 25

Skyepilot,
I've read some of your post. Let me make some coments.
I'm 57 and maybe a little old by your standards, but I don't have to ask mommy for a loan to buy a car. When I was young I didn't have to worry about how to finance a car. The Government gave me an M151 Jeep to drive for free. All I had to do was serve a year in Southeast Asia. I also had my own 130 pilot that flew me almost anywhere I wanted to go (as long as it was in Thailand or Viet Nam). The Government also payed for school when I got out of the service ( GI Bill). Sometimes I almost feel like a sponge for soaking up so much of the Governments benefits. Why don't you enlist and get in on all these good deals?

right on...I have two following in your footsteps right now...and they know a Sky is not in their immediate or near future...cuz working to protect the rights of skypilot and everyone else is foremost for them. It was mentioned on the forum earlier
...owning a Sky is pretty small in the realm of things, especially when young people are sitting in Iraq....
Off topic but I have a hard time letting skypilot's confrontational attitude slide by...hmmm I need to grow up

Well for what it is worth, I am 67 with 8 grandkids (four old enough to drive my Sky). My Wife is 8 years younger as I kept trading off the first few years (been 32 years now). She said she didn't like convertables - ha! Whenever I say I am going somewhere she is already in the passenger seat (say's she is my spotter as she counts all the smiles and nice gestures). Great little car for all ages. I have even thought of getting a copyright for "Saturn Sky a car for all ages, a car for all stages". Seems to fit this forum (maybe even the Solstice forum). Besides it does make you feel 20 to 30 years younger.

Skyepilot,
This is an off topic thread, about being over 40. While by forum rules you are welcome to post on any thread, this thread has no revelance for you. I guess you cannot stand that and need to bring the focus back to you.

Perhaps something like this would help put things in perspsective for you.
