no Skip she wasn't the first to bring up Iraq, but Skye misunderstood what the person said

All I think he meant by it is there are more important things in this world than owing certain car. he was just trying to put things into perspective...

Age

Although I'm only 34, I had to comment! My father (59) has owned a roadster or coupe since before I was born. He never had a son (really wanted one) so I became his car buddy. We cruised, washed, spent hours in the garage together! Went to shows, and runs. Hell, we still do! One of my very first jobs ($.25 a ride) was to tell people not to touch the pipes on his roadster (HOT!) and watch the car whenever he ran into somewhere. He had a stroke last year and can no longer drive. He just rerestored a 61 vette that he can no longer drive. The first ride he took in my Sky made him smile in a way I haven't seen before the stroke! He had a big ole grin on his face! Now for a mechanic and total roadster owner to show that kinda emotion over my Sky was cool! Yesterday he even admitted to being a little jealous! And above all, he is cleaning out the garage this week and will be giving me the honor of parking my baby next to his! In over 35 years he has never ever let anyone park in our garage but him (including my mom!). My mom and sis are miffed but they'll get over it! He and I are cruising now like we did when I was a kid! Only dif is now I can drive without sitting on his lap!

i just didn't understand why people were bringing up iraq, as if that mattered and owning a sky doesn't. i don't think iraq has anything to do with owning a sky. but then i don't think iraq had anything to do with 911 either......
skyepilot,
I am sorry you misunderstood my post...It has nothing to do with war or the human condition...wether or not you own a Sky..
I was giving an example of why 'older' people find the Sky refreshing and why we feel the car goes along with rejuvinating our youth. I also offered a reasonable expanation as to why many teens or very young adults might not see the Sky as a practical 'only or first' car...
Sorry it pushed so many buttons for you.

No, Al Bundy said "Life begins when EVERYBODY dies" I am figuring out that the butterfly avatar does not go with my sense of humor. I might have to lose it. SkyePilot, you can laugh at yourself more easily when you are "old"

The best part of getting old is you can laugh at things that you once took waaaay to seriously.

I agree with Rick and have to add from a commecial
"We're not getting older we're getting better!"
Aging is like a fine wine, that improves with time.

I won't say when Life begins (that is a whole other discussion), But until you stop enjoying life you are fully alive and stay Young at Heart, when you stop enjoying what life has to offer then you get OLD... as the song says "don't worry, Be happy"
