1 unapproved visitor message ( what does that mean?????) I don't see any unapproved message there????????
and I have an Incoming request....
and How do I do a friend request that is not highlighted????? I have 6 of them. It there something I should do or something they should do?????

The 1 unapproved visitor is a metaphor for driving the Smart solo (e.g., no passenger). The incoming request is the proverbial "stood up" message....that you've been two timing.
