I think not.
Your steak analogy is flawed because you hve the option of making the steak at home. The person you're fleecing for a PS3 has no other option if they absolutely must have it now. And don't say they can wait because the person who would pay over $2k is an ADDICT and is incapable of waiting. You're just there waiting to take advantage of said addiction. Besides the addtional twenty dollars buys you the service and stuff that comes w/ going to a restaurant. Just face the facts man. You're nothing but a price gouger. Just like ticket scalpers who keep tickets out of the hands of real fans.

I brought it to work, the last thing I want to do is to scratch it.

your opinion is yours, mine is mine. More power to those who waited out in the rain and snow cause some lazy rich guy didnt want to. thats the service you are paying for.

You do indeed have a right to your opinion so I'll make this my last comment on the matter. The majority of people who are paying these obscene prices are not rich. They are just so addicted that they cannot even fathom the idea of waiting for the next shipment from Sony. Hell a lot of people who see me driving the Sky assume I'm rich but I'm far from it.

I agree.

And I find it different than a once in a lifetime ticket to an event that happens only one night... there will one day be MILLIONS of the PS3 and I’m not going to feel sorry for people who cant wait till 2007 so they are willing to pay thousands over retail.

I love you man!

in which you say..."You're still not getting my PS3."

(if you've seen those old Budweiser commercials you'll know what I'm talking about)

So here is my official review of this system as of now. Upon opening it I was very pleased with the aesthetics of the unit. Very clean and very 2.0ish design much like the xbox 360. It is extremly heavy! Unlike the xbox 360, there is no power brick. The brick is built into the actual system. The controller feels just like the dual shock controller which I appreciate. Buetooth wireless is the best feature of the controller. Turning the system on via the controller is a nice touch. The power and the disc eject buttons are touch sensitive which is also a very nice touch. the gui is identical to that of the PSP. Very easy to navigate through. It takes about 15-20 minutes to setup an account for the playstation online network. It feels very similar to the xbox live network. Which is a good thing. I feel that micrsoft has mastered the online network and for now, is the leader in online. However the PS3 is very similar and is FREE. I dont want to pay 50-60 dollar membership every year to play online, when it is free with playstation online. Overtime, if they can keep it up with the online, and make improvements, it will be just as good as the xbox live network, if not, better. PLaying ressitance fall of man online was amazing. absolutely zero lag. with up to 40 players online, that is very impressive. the PSP functionality with the PS3 is great. The possibilities will be endles with that. Overall I am very happy with the PS3.

ehh you buy the ps3 to play it.. not to use it to market to another crowd.. if they wanted it they shoulda come and gotten it... those of you who purchased it to resell it are just wasting time.. Buy it if you want it. I have had offers on mine but those offers have gone down in the last few days.. beucase nobody wants to pay that much becuase they are starting to get shipped to stores.. i am happy with my ps3 and i wont sell it
