Surgery done.

First off I am on 3 more RX's so this may not make sense. I want to thank EVERYONE that called the hospital, my family, my phone & of course all the emails I have read this morning of well wishes.

THANK YOU ALLL SOOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!

The weekend went really great but then I got a call saying they moved my surgery from the time it was for to needing to be at the hospital at 5:30am for a 7:30 surgery.

We were all there by 5:30am all my family. Did the check in stuff, they gave me my room, started the IV etc. by 7am I was in Pre-Op. I waited till the last second for them to make me take out on my contacts too. All the Surgeon's and Doctors came in again to talk to me & the anesthesiologist. By 7:15am he did my pre getting ready to put me out & it started working right away, way too good! All I remember is her saying okay Kimberly count from 100 and I looked up at her like baby Vincent looks up to at me while I am rocking him and passed out & didn't even get 100 out! So I didn't even know when they wheeled me into the Operating room.

Next thing I know 3 1/2 hours later I am Post Op with a Nurse saying Kim over & over. I was there for an hour or so before they took me to my room.

At one point in the middle of the surgery I started to crash & they were loosing me they did have to tube me & do all of that stuff & to bring me back. Ugggg. Not sure why, I swear I wasn't willing myself to die but for some reason it happened.

Surgeons went in & found a ton of scar tissue and cut out all the scar tissue in/around both kidney's & bladder. Took off all the cells on my bladder & both kidney's. I had almost complete blockage in all the tubes that are connected to both kidney's & bladder so he went in and stretch all the tubes out. Then lifted both kidney's & bladder back to where they are supposed to be. Now I honestly can't remember what else. Sorry.

I am out of work for 3 days, laying down, no standing, no walking etc. I have to go back in 3 days & then again in 30 days. For the next 30 days no dairy & only liquids I can see thru for 30 days. When I go back to see him he is going to do then an in office procedure where he is going to go in with a camera to check everything & will just use a local for the pain.

I am really in a lot of pain right now even with all the pain drugs etc. Ugggg.

Welcome back to OUR WORLD....KUDOS to the doctors and nurses. It's not the patient who is important...it's the OPERATING TEAM

Glad you are through with surgery and are now recuperating. Follow the doctor's orders and don't push yourself to return to normal activities. You deserve a little extra recovery time.

Glad all went well and you're on the road to recovery!

Those anesthesiologists are sneaky so and so's. When I had to go in for soem surgery he was talking to me like all was fine. Asked me if I had any plans for when I get well.
"Well, my dad is talking about going to Las Vegas," says I.
"Oh, have you ever been to Las Vegas?" says he.
"No, I've never been to Las..." and I was in the recovery room!

Hope all goes well!

Joe

The miracle of life and another chance at happiness has been bestowed to you ... too many take it for granted. But I have a feeling you, and your loved ones, fully appreciate the gift given.

Group hug ...
