It's ironic, I found this on the 350z forums. This kid had just gotten the car and was so proud of it. 3 days later someone posted up the news story and sure enough it was the same kid in his brand new car.

Now you young guns can see why insurance rates are so high for those under 25 and male-- They will never learn however, we see these types of stories down here every single week just about--Its sad--

So I wonder what happened to the BMW. I assume the kid told the police about the other car (redneck) and I wonder if the other car will get into trouble too?? Kids....I was one once too.

Well the male driver is apparently in critical condition in the hospital with head trauma. So he likely isnt talking. And I would bet the girl didn't see the plate on the bimmer(or recognize the model), or remember much of anything about it. So sadly I would say the bimmer got off scot free.

But I hate to say it, if I was in the bimmer I wouldn't hang around to get a street racing ticket and reckless driving and everything else. I would just call the cops anonymously as I got the heck out of there.

The real lesson here is that with age comes experience. None of us wanted to hear that, and when I think back on stuff I did I thank god I am alive and never hurt anyone else!

They need more tracks in this country were people can go to race their cars affordably and keep it off the streets. Growing up on Long Island, I can tell you how many light to light races I had on Hempstead Turnpike. Or 0-60 races on 231 out in Babylon. Stupid and dangerous, but when you are younger you think you are invinsible.

Don't get me wrong, I like to open it up every so often, but I try to stay within legal bounds like on highways and open desolate areas.
And I do not blame the BMW for taking off, AS LONG AS HE WAS NOT PHYSICALLY INVOLVED! If they touched, he should have stayed. Because now if they touched and he left, he will be in for some serious charges, especially if the kid dies. Stupid!

It is sad to see a new car get ruined like that. I feel for them when I wrecked my sky only after having it 29 days. I hope that they are ok. If they are that is all that matters the car can be replaced. I believe that insurance will total it
