I have been reminiscing about the past of our forum and Skip comes to mind as one of our more vocal and interesting contributors.

I decided that I really miss his sense of humor. So I decided to bring him back. In his own words.

The defining Skip event was when, on April Fools Day, he posed as his daughter and, using his account here, reported his own death.

We were all sucked in and when he chimed in that reports of his own demise were likely premature, several folks got pretty mad (personally, I thought it was brilliant on several levels), but that was the epitome of Skip: He marched to and honored the beat of his own drum.

Skip went on to the great Lynchburg in the sky. Happy to say that one of my last contacts with Skip was to send him a personally autographed " To Skip" bottle of Jack Daniel's Angelo Lucchesi commemoratives signed by my pal Angelo. Wasn't too long after that that we learned of his passing.

This may not be the place to say it...but it should be recognized....ChiliSKY(Kimberly).SHE IS ONE HELL OF A WOMAN..She is always there to give respect to special people,,,,we know how nice and gracious she is...Just want to say thanks to her because of what she does...for all of us.

Double M...your a one and only. Love you back buddy...Skip adored you. I think of my Skipperdoodle all the time...mostly when I see road kill and wonder how he would cook it!!!!!

It's nice to see some of the Senior members still around...we still have a bond and it is not the car...it was the car but we have grown.

My lasting memory of Skip will be us stuck for hours on the side of I-68 in West Virginia on the way to Mecca 3 while we waited for a two truck. We were less than 100 yards from a mile marker so it was easy for us to tell them exactly where we were. Nevertheless, that didn't keep them from being unable to find us...in part by looking in the entirely WRONG STATE! Despite the stress of the day, Skip was upbeat and looking forward to making it to Delaware to see his friends.
