08 on the lot...Still not mine!!!

Ok so heres the update. Took my car in this morning and got it appraised and agreed with it. But..... still no price from gm!!! I'm leaving work at 230 tomorrow to go close the deal.... supposedly. So hopefully tomorrow ill have my new car. If they dont get the number then obviously it'll be monday. So my car is sitting hidden behind saturn of newark. But, i'll get it soon. Isn't mthis sort of ridiculous that they cant get me a price???? I know i get the employe discount but i mean come on. What do you guys think? I bet i could get it quicker from gm than they could.

Mine is in transit. Not sure how long it will take to arrive here in Memphis.

I was at the dealership today and they had an '07 automatic white with black fully loaded sky sitting on the lot for just over 28K. Sitting right beside it was the '06 pontiac touring solstice, black on black with 300 miles on it for sale. Both were beautiful cars.

They may not have the invoice or the MSO yet... they can't get the employee price without the invoice. That might be where the "can't get the price" is coming from.

Be glad you're getting the employee price - a LOT of dealerships aren't honoring employee and supplier prices.

whats a supplier price? is tha different than the employee discount?

Supplier price it the price that business get and sometime pass on to their employees. It is higher than employee price. I can normally get supplier price, but my dealership is not participating in supplier pricing on the Sky.

I know how you feel. I had to leave my Sky at the dealer until another Sky came in...took four weeks.

It is absolutely possible that the car arrived before the invoice. That could be the problem.

Congrats on being able to at least visit your brand spanking new 2008 SKY!
