In terms of the Sky and Astra, that is correct. GM is still providing Saturn/Penske with the Aura, Vue and Outlook for 2010 & 2011.

True, but the question was only about the Sky.

I read that about 10 2010 sky's were made before the news came to "shut 'er down" so I doubt they will hit the market. Undoubtedly a collectors car for some CEO's somewhere.

Current Mods:
Custom Illuminated WindRestrictor
Smoked Clear Corners
Stubby Antenna

Future Mods:

Most likely they were pre-production runs and would not necessarily be a saleable car. You could post on the Solstice forum and see what info you get there. Seems more "GM" in the know types post there..

There is a thread over at Solstice forum talking about the 2010 cars that were built. I'm going from MEMORY here, so I'll be off a little, but it was something like this....The plant had already switched over to building 2010 Solstice and Skys, and something like 10 Skys and 50 Solstices were built using 2010 VIN numbers before word came down about the plant closing. Those cars were moved off to another area of the lot to hold, and they went back to using 2009 VIN numbers. At the time of the thread, it had not been decided whether they would send the cars back into the plant to change them to VIN numbers for 2009, OR apply for a special exemption to allow GM to sell that small a number of 2010s without having to go thru proper certification, OR destroy them.

It is a VERY interesting story, and if someone takes the time to go find that thread and correct what I have wrong, that would be great.

2006 Deep Solstice NA...Traded in for:
2009 Sky Redline Ruby Red Limited Edition
5 speed manual/rear spoiler added/6 disc/Monsoon
GMPP Tune/MBRP Charge Pipes/DDM Backbone & Probeam/K&N Drop in/HIDs

Even if they say 2009 (I'm not sure)... the Hydro Blue should be considered a 2010 regardless as it was not a 2009 model year color choice, and they did make 89 of them according to this thread:

Yes. When the 2009 information came out, GM has slated the two colors as limited edition colors, with only the Ruby Red available as a regular color option as well. I remember asking Mike @ ImSaturn about this at the beginning of the model year.

If you have seen or have access to the 2010 Fleet information, the blue shown at MECCA III on the Solstice GXP Coupe Heritage Edition was the new blue for both divisions for the 2010 model year. It is a different paint code than the Hydro/Fresh blue.
