I'd expect this would be a dealer reflash. Nothing yet for an EO from CARB for an ECM update, but it's not summer yet.
I checked and mention that as it's a heads up for us when this gets close to release. Thanks fo the info, Ahnuld. No go back and get some whp for our 2.4s . |

the guy who made statement...
is Bruce Kosbab - the chief engineer for kappa. below is him from an older video He said this today.. in the assembly plant... in front of 250 kappa owners... with the entire Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice management team present... and the local plant managers... and the UAW regional president So it is true. The tune is based on the Solstice Sema SD290 concept And ... Price under a grand... sounds like $899 to me

this is a service bulletin, and is corrected by a flash of the ECU/ECM. SOmeone posted the entire bulleting here. At Mecca, they even flew in the guy who WRITES the service bulletins!! If anyone had any questions about anything on the car... they had them there

Also, at least one person here has gotten the auxilary pump retro-fitted to their 2008 (under warranty), and the rumor was that GM was preparig a refit kit for the rest of us.

Does that mean we will have even more hp if we put in a RPI exhaust? Is this for redlines?

Remember, the Ecotec is "capable" of a lot more than 260HP. This is a relatively new engine. So initial tuning will be conservative. We have a 5/100K on the engine. The engineers have looked at the Ecotec (and all the other drive pieces) and determined that they can withstand 290 HP and still maintain longevity. 30 extra HP, backed by GM's 5/100 for under $1K.....I think it's a good deal.
GM is in this to MAKE MONEY. Of course, they also want to satisfy us customers....but that goes hand in hand with making money. And I hope they make plenty of money. Because a healthy GM is good for us...and our future with our Kappas.

Remember carefully please (or correct me if I am remembering wrongly) but he never said that the Stage II was just and ECM reflash, it could include other parts.
