Almost got killed on highway to NY

All most got killed on highway to NY
Deluke and I decided to have lunch in White Plains NY. I leave in the morning to pick her up and off to NY we go in my SKY.
Well driving with the flow of traffic on the highway (which is 65mph) the truck in front of me runs over a tire tread and it flies at me and I run it over too. There was nothing I could do to avoid it. It sounded horrible as it hit my front bumper and banged underneath my side panel. I panic and I cross over three lanes and stop at the break down lane to see if there was damage.
This is was it looks like. I keep thinking how much worse it could have been if it flew up and hit the windshield or us. So I am thankful that someone up there was looking over Deluke and I. But I am still upset. Poor Snow White. Another boo boo. Should I call my insurance? T.

While technically correct, this isn't what I meant when I prayed for you to be attacked by a gator. Thanks a lot, Jesus.

Glad you and Kathy are OK, T. Go to a body shop and figure out what it'll cost to get it fixed. I'd imagine it's probably not enough to warrant an insurance claim, but that's a decision you'll have to make. Good luck!

I'm so glad you & Deluke were not hurt. That had to scare the s**t out of you when it came at you. Snow White can be fixed & look good as new again.Yes, definitely call your insurance company. I would think the damage is covered by your policy.

Again, I'm glad you're both safe & sound.....

Please stop your praying!!!! Just kidding. Thanks for the laugh. I think I can rub out the front bumper, but the boo boo on the side panel needs to be fixed by a professional. This stinks.

I had the same thing happen on the way to the dragon. It looks like most of the damage on the front of yours can be rubbed out, but the rocker panel under the door may cost a few bucks to repair. One of these days a pressure sensor will be required in each truck and trailer tire to prevent some of this from happening, although there will still be lazy drivers that will keep on going rather than pull over before the tire blows.

Debris is always a danger. Even more so with our 3 inchers. Glad you're OK. And the car doesn't look that bad considering.

Have someone airbrush that design across the whole front. lol

I know, that sucks to have happen. I ran over a sign once with no damage, it blew across the highway right in front of me.

T I'm glad to hear that you and Deluke are alright. But then again have you ever really been alright??? Really I am glad it wasn't worse I know things like that can be scary that’s why I try to leave a larger than normal distance between me and the next car in front of me even if they are in the next lane over when I drive my sky.

T I'm so glad you are both okay. Definitely could have been worse. Obviously even with all of Reed's praying someone was looking out for you!

Gator got me twice!

I feel your pain as this happened to me twice. The first time I had to get a new front fascia, side panel and repair the rocker. The second time was not that bad but took out the same side panel behind the front tire. The second time was on the way to Saturn to trade it in for the Carbon Flash Redline.

T, first I'm really glad you're OK. It could have been worse and my mind shuts down the minute I start imagining what might have happened. That's scary!

Solli4me… Love the picture. It made me smile. I needed that. Luv ya
Va Sky... Shhhh don’t tell everyone about me not being all right. I try to keep that a secret. Hugs
Jazzjet… Mr. T has no sympathy for me. He blames me for going to NY. Oh dear… He is mad at me. He says my SKY looks like crap now.

To everyone who called me, Thanks for the phone calls tonight. I am having a pity party.
I am glad I kept a distance between the truck in front of me, cause it would have probably hit the front hood or windshield and things would have been so different. I’ll keep you posted. luv ya all T.

About two years ago, Skyman08 was driving and hit a gator on the road that had just fallen. It almost hit his wife at that time in the head. It was a long thread. There are always going to be gators on the road. A good driver is always alert to them jumping out in front of the Sky to create havoc and cause damage....Skip....Glad all yalls wernt hurt none...
