Back for service

The first attempt to have the differential seals replaced was a bust when after taking over an hour doing what ever to get the car ready for seal replacement, they opened the box of parts to discover they had the wrong parts. You would think checking the parts first would have been the smart thing to do. They said they would have to reorder the correct parts and call me when they came in. This time they said I could bring the car in and they would give me a free loaner so I didn't have to wait around and they would have it done by the next day. It would have been nice if they made that offer the first time so I wouldn't have had to drive 30 miles, set around for a couple of hours and drive back 30 miles. With the mileage I get with my LS2, these two trips will eat up 30 bucks worth of gas plus the time up and back to the dealer. Since this is a GM recall, you would think that they would do these recall repairs at the closest GM dealership and help conserve fuel and enviroment.

i feel your pain, i always try and make them give me something for free for my toubles, when my radio wasnt working correctly, they didnt have a replacement, so they had to keep my car over night, so i made them fill the tires with the nitrogen air for free!! make them fill the tank for you when u get there the next time or before you leave. im sure they would do it if u push for it.

Got my Sky back today. Although they provided a rental for me which they paid for, the rental company wanted me to fill the tank back up when I returned it. When I brought the rental back to the dealership this morning to pick up my Sky, I told him I was not to happy with the rental company wanting me to fill the tank back up since I had already made two trips to have my Sky fixed which cost me plenty in gas already, and to fill the rental back up calculating the distance I had to travel, the mpg of that Impala they provided plus the price of gas a over $2.65 a gallon today would have cost me another ten bucks. He ask me if he took care of it, would I be happy. I smiled. I noticed due to a lot of added mileage, the mechanics must have given my Sky a lot of S.H.I.T. (Special High Intensity Testing). All is well again in the universe.
