The weather was beautiful yesterday, so we were out in the SKY. We were stopped in traffic when we got hit from the rear and pushed into the vehicle in front of us. Now my favorite toy is banged up on both ends. The good news is nobody was hurt and the body shop says the damage appears to be superficial.

By my estimate, I'll be needing a front fascia, headlight, fender liner, hood, windshield, rear fascia and lower panel. There aren't any bent supports in front, and there was no fluid leakage. The shop guy says he's afraid there may be some hidden damage under the rear fascia, but it doesn't look bad externally. Exhaust system isn't damaged.
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. Here's an update:
We haven't heard from the other guy's insurance company yet, but my insurance company (State Farm) is all over it. The accident happened Wednesday afternoon. A repair authorization has been issued, and disassembly has begun. Estimated completion date is 2/12.
That sucks.
Was the person that hit you on their phone?
As long as the Doors did not get damaged, you can have a real nasty looking hit but not be too bad.
With yours being a 2.4, you don't have the intercooler in there which could then be pushed into the radiator.
It looks like the wheels are fine too, so I do believe it will be fixable and drive exactly as it did before.
But then again, I am basing this solely on your picture

GOOD LUCK
I am glad everyone was OK.
He wasn't on the phone. An old guy (like me)...seemed to be in a fog.
Most important thing in all of this is that you are safe and healthy, that car can be repaired and or replaced, our body parts are not so accommodating..good luck on repairs!! It's much easier on a NA..

Update:
Estimate is up to almost $7500. Shop says it would take another $3k to total it. They're very thorough, replacing a tire because of a small cut (not flat), and the exhaust system because the muffler is dented. Using OEM parts...some have already arrived.
