If they think these tops are hard to operate have they tried a Vette top? Even on the C6 they are not power below LT3. Power was not an option on the C5. They are much more a PITA. But like the Sky they look good down. I hate to see the top when it's down. That's one of the best things about the looks of the Sky. For its purpose the Sky is best in class in my opinion. Or the Sol for that matter.

I can care less what anyone writes or says about the Solstice or Sky. Though its up to personal taste, both are absolutely beautiful cars that WILL have their place in the "classic" circle one day. Until then, Ill just keep replacing my wheelhouse liners, fiberglass fenders, turbos and water pumps with a wide permagrin looking forward to the next top down day.

I own a couple of the cars often pilloried by magazines who need to fill pages but prefer not to do it at the expense of time spent actually researching the truth. Both the MGA Twin Cam and the 1988 Fiero get a lot of criticism, and yet in the one case had easily remedied fuel issues and in the other, simply suffered from the bad rep of the crappy versions that preceded it. Both are a heck of a lot of fun. I guess I now have 3 cars that are damned by some 'journalists'. I'll learn to live with that!

It's also pretty evident CNN doesn't like American cars.
It is pretty evident That Mustangs/Camaros aren't sports cars. Also, the Corvette is...nothing to brag about up until the C5. It has never been cheap, and people are still insane with the resale price of the cars (local Z06 is for sale for $33k and has 77k miles lol).
The list is pretty silly honestly, what about the 350Z, Z4, Z3, Miata (probably the most popular budget sports car of all time)?
Honestly, I'm surprised our cars made the list.

Not to the guys on this and other Kappa sites. It still amazes me that so many say they have decided to replace their Solsice or Sky, a true sports car, with a Camaro or Mustang, an overweight awkward excuse for a grand touring car, and that they think this is logical and that those heavy weights are somehow equivalent. A Corvette replacement I could see, but a fat assed sedan? No.

This type of thinking may be good for us in the long run. I don't need the masses to justify my purchase. If the masses want to shun these cars, the market value will stay low, and I will likely buy a second one someday (I still have the original Solstice itch to scratch). Regardless of what the press says, the bang for the buck with this car is still good and for the dollar, I have not seen another car that I would rather have.
My feelings exactly...right down to the second car being a Solstice...
