Bugs in the intercooler/grill

Howdy
Just got back from my first road trip, and I have a serious bug build up. Went to the car wash, but there are a slew of bugs in the front, past the grill. I have some long needle nose pliers and got some out, but I don't see any other way, short of removing a few bolts to get to the more "welded" bug guts....Am I just missing something here?
Cheers!
