Can you buy an Opel GT in the USA?

Sorry, this isn't exactly a Sky post but what does it take to buy an 2008 Opel GT in the USA. I was just thinking that if I bought an Opel GT I would be just like my dad. He had an Opel when I was a kid.

Would it cost considerably more than a Sky R/L?

Thanks...

Great! Does anyone know how it costs to ship the car? Is the cost of an Opel GT the same as a Sky after the currency conversion?

Opel GT is about $10,000 more than the sky, then add shipping on top of that!

Why must you have the Opel?

The sky red line is the exact same car except for the badges!.

You can order the Opel grill and badges, much cheaper than buying an Opel GT.

But your choice, if you got the cash!

ceeker,

Thanks for the reply. It's not that I must have an Opel. I was just wondering about the cost. I know it's almost identical to the Sky. But it sounds like the Opel is considerably more so I will stick with the plan of getting the Sky.

I'm trying to hold off until next Spring (for several reasons, one of which is weather). But it's getting difficult to wait since I have seen that a dealer not too far away has one with all the options I want but is my 2nd color choice.

I appreciate the information.

setting aside the badging...slight insignificant differences...2 fog light switches on dash (for the backup light)...different rear bumper panel for license plate...of course the headlights r not blackened...thats all I can recall...the guages read different...cannot recall any other differences.

Mike, you forgot about the Opel antenna, which can be ordered for $20 OTD.

Yes, there is a slight tune difference in the Opel GT due to emissions in Europe.

Sky's seam to be a litter easier to get now, so waiting until spring and ordering exactly what you want would work!
